Translational and Population Research on Immune Mechanisms of Cardiovascular Disease.
I am a physician-scientist and translational cardioimmunologist working at the intersection of cardiovascular biology, immunology, and translational medicine. My work focuses on inflammatory mechanisms driving cardiac remodelling, heart failure, and ageing-related disease.
Current projects integrate mechanistic cardiovascular biology with clinical and population-level datasets to better understand immune-driven cardiovascular disease and identify pathways with translational relevance.


My research focuses on immune mechanisms that drive myocardial remodeling and heart failure. By studying interactions between immune cells, fibroblasts, and cardiomyocytes, I aim to identify molecular pathways that translate inflammatory signals into structural cardiac changes and potential therapeutic targets.

Using large longitudinal cohort datasets, I investigate how inflammatory biomarkers relate to cardiovascular ageing, cognitive health, and chronic disease trajectories. This work integrates epidemiology, biostatistics, and translational medicine to better understand how immune dysregulation contributes to disease progression across the lifespan.

Beyond biological research, I explore the ethical dimensions of emerging medical technologies and their evolving role in healthcare. My work reflects on how innovations such as artificial intelligence, digital health tools, and advanced diagnostics intersect with clinical practice, healthcare systems, and responsible medical decision-making.
